I don't understand the ratings this ice cream shop has received based on our own visit. The ice cream was super soft and marshmallowy, which is a mortal sin in my book. I had vanilla chip and coconut on a chocolate cone, and truly regretted eating it. I actually would have preferred to have never visited, and I really, really love ice cream. My son was equally unimpressed by his Oreo cream and cookie dough. My wife thought her mint chip and maple walnut were passable, at least, but she's also the least discriminating of our group. If you think I'm just "that guy" who is never satisfied in reviews, I encourage you to look at the other 30 or so ice cream reviews I have...

We have been enjoying this gem of an ice cream shop for decades. Nick and his family treat you like part of their family. The ice cream is homemade. The cones are homemade. The brownies are homemade. There is a theme here. You are in for a gastronomic desert delight! Get to Magic Fountain today! I promise you will want to come back again and again! So many flavors and so little time. Great spot in Summit, been here forever. Always a line but it moves pretty fast and they have a huge selection of items. Good to have the wait to decide! Especially like the banana ice cream with Nutella - sugar bomb but super tasty!

There’s usually a line when the weather is nice but it’s worth the wait! There are so many options of flavors, toppings and types of sundaes. And you can’t go wrong with any of them

If you miss the old school ice cream store, you have to head over to Magic Fountain! They have the favorites like cookie ice cream sandwiches, ice cream cakes but also slushees, cool cones options and so much more. It’s cash only in you’re ordering in person . Fast service too

Their ice cream and Italian ice are the best around. I love how you can customize your order, and the extra toppings are reasonably priced. The teens/young people working inside are attentive and friendly. It's definitely a great place to grab a treat for yourself or your family.

I found the ice cream ,soft serve to be a little gelatinous, instead of creamy and icy. Next time I'll try the hard ice cream flavors. $4 for a small.kiddy size is a little crazy.
